Weather Policy

Serengeti Springs remains open during periods of rain.  If lightning is detected in close proximity to the park or heavy rains impair our lifeguards’ vision, we will temporarily suspend operation of the Tree Top Trek and Lazy River. Other areas of the park will remain open during this temporary suspension.

Weather policy:  During storms, the Tree Top Trek and Lazy River may be temporarily suspended for your safety. If this suspension lasts more than 90 consecutive minutes due to lightning or unsafe weather conditions, rain checks will be issued to guests as they exit the park. Guests must present their admission receipt or ticket to receive a rain check.  Rain checks will not be issued after 4:00 p.m. Rain checks expire on the last day of the current season.

If Serengeti Springs does not open for the entire day due to severe weather, guests who have purchased same-day tickets and cabanas online, will automatically receive a refund.

Lockers

Serengeti Springs does not refund locker rentals.

Individual lockers are available for rent during your stay at Serengeti Springs for a fee. Lockers are located near the entrance of Serengeti Springs. Serengeti Springs does not refund locker rentals.

Serengeti Springs at the Hattiesburg Zoo is a CASHLESS ATTRACTION. WE ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING FORMS OF PAYMENT: Google Pay, Apple Pay, Debit, Credit, Serengeti Springs Gift Cards. There is a reverse ATM on property. If there is any remaining monetary balance on the card at the end of your stay at Serengeti Springs, the card can be used at any locations that accept Visa or MasterCard. You will incur a $3.00 transaction fee.

Serengeti Springs has a retail market on site, which will stock items including: sunscreen, swim diapers, waterproof cell phone cases, beach bags, towels and over-the-counter pain medicines including Tylenol and Aspirin for purchase.
